Lucy Mulumbilwa and Shannon Book lead Knights at XC Kickoff

In the first meet of the season at the XC Kickoff, Lucy Mulumbilwa was the top finisher for the Knights as she completed the 2-mile course at Harry Griffen Park with a time of 16:36 (22nd).

She was followed by Shannon Book who was only two second behind (16:38; 23rd). Alisson Castaneda was City's third runner to cross the finish line with a time of 17:39 (34th). 

Ashley Rubio (21:43; 39th) and Nasima Rasooli (21:45; 40th) were the fourth and fifth City runners to finish.

As a team, the Knights ended up in fifth place with a score of 131. 

Their next race will be on September 13 at the SoCal Preview meet, which will be held at Chaffey College with a 10 a.m. start.
