Jara, Dalton Are Top City Finishers at Coyote Challenge
The Knights were back on course for the second consecutive week as they raced at Cal State San Bernardino's Coyote Challenge with sophomore Diandra Jara leading the team with a 24th place finish (20:53) and sophomore Isabelle Dalton not far behind her with a 28th place finish (21:28).

It was the second straight race in which Jara and Dalton were the first two Knights to complete Saturday's 5k race at CSUSB.
The Knights, who finished in fifth place as a team, had strong showings from sophomore Joscelyn Silva, who was City's third scorer for the first time in her career (46th; 23:34), and freshman Isabella Chuiz, who ran the course in 28:23 (60th).
Rounding out the top-5 runners for the Knights were sophomore Alicen Garcia (51st; 24:08) and freshman Glennis Lopez (52nd; 24:16).
"The team approached the university-level meet with professionalism and a strong attitude, and should continue to follow up the fast start to the season at our home meet," said head coach Marco Anzures.
The Knights will be hosting the 35th annual Coach Downey XC Classic at Morley Field on Friday, September 29 with the women's 5k race starting at 10:30 a.m.
