City Wins Final 3 Sets to Get Past IVC
San Diego City earned their first victory of the season on Wednesday night as they bested Imperial Valley, 3-1 (21-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-21) with four Knights recording double digit kills, including Allison Wygal and Tayen Orr who each finished with 12.

Aamori Daniels had 11 kills with a .417 kill percentage. Aliyah Lucas had a big impact on offense with 10 kills and four aces, and defense with 21 digs.
Cassie Stevens, City's libero, was all over the court and tallied a season-high 26 digs to go with three service aces.
Cordelia Gipson dished out 30 assists and Lana Dy added 13.
The opening set was tied at 19-19, but Imperial Valley closed it out with a 6-2 run.
San Diego City, however, responded well in the second set with a 25-21 win despite a late rally by Imperial Valley.
The Knights then scored the first seven points of the third set, but Imperial Valley eventually tied it up at 12-12. City scored eight of the next 10 points to take a 20-14 lead and went on to win, 25-17.
The fourth set was all tied up at 21-21 with IVC looking to force a fifth set, but the Knights finished on a 4-0 run that included a Wygal kill, an IVC error, another Wygal kill, and an IVC error to end the match.
San Diego City improved to 1-4 on the season and 1-1 in the PCAC. The Knights will play their third match of the week at Cuyamaca (3-2, 0-2 PCAC) on Friday at 6 p.m.
