Sydney Bishop With 17 Kills in Home Opener
The Knights were back at Harry West Gym for their home opener on Friday night and were led by sophomore Sydney Bishop's 17 kills, 16 digs, and six total blocks in a 3-1 (16-25, 19-25, 26-24, 22-25) loss to Santa Ana. Sophomore Destiny Andersen had 14 kills and a team-high 20 digs.

After dropping the first two sets, the Knights fell behind 24-23 in the third set, but they scored the final three points on an Andersen kill, a Santa Ana error, and a Bishop block to win the set.
The fourth set was also very close and City stayed within two points late in the set, but Santa Ana held on for a 25-22 win to close out the match.
Sophomore Phina Bustos finished with 14 digs. Freshman Cordelia Gipson and sophomore Leah Reid split time at the setter position and tallied 15 and 14 assists, respectively.
The Knights are back home again on Tuesday vs. Mt. San Jacinto at 5 p.m.
