KNIGHTS RALLY IN 3RD SET TO COMPLETE SWEEP OF PALOMAR
San Diego City's women's volleyball team won its second consecutive match on Wednesday by sweeping Palomar, 3-0 (25-23, 25-13, 25-23) to improve to 8-6 overall and 4-2 in the PCAC.

Alana Holloway led the Knights with 11 kills and 11 digs, while Kiara Pena added 10 kills and 14 digs.
Charlee Carman was filling in for Kareemah Hopkins at the setter position due to an injury and ddished out 31 assists. Alina Fletes was strong defensively with 20 digs.
The Knights got off to a nice start in the opening set as they built a 10-5 lead, but Palomar rallied back to tie it at 13-13. City tried pulling away late as they went ahead, 19-16, but the Comets came back once again and even took the lead at 21-20. The Knights, however, finished strong by scoring five of the last seven points and went on to win, 25-23.
It was looking like another close one in the second set with the teams tied at 9-9, but the Knights went on a 10-2 run to take control and eventually won, 25-13.
The Comets seemed to have turned the match around after grabbing a 19-9 lead in the third set, but the Knights mounted an incredible comeback. City rolled off eight straight points to get to within two points at 19-17, and then tied the set at 21-21. City took its first lead at 23-22 and held on for the 25-23 victory to complete the sweep.
The Knights will host MiraCosta on Friday at 5 p.m. in a match that will decide who takes over the third place spot in the conference.
