KNIGHTS TAKE CARE OF MIRAMAR IN 3 SETS
The SDCC women's volleyball team swept Miramar, 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-19) at Harry West Gym on Friday to improve to 7-6 overall and 3-2 in the PCAC.

Kiara Pena led City's attack with nine kills, while Mariah Wonders added eight kills.
Alina Fletes was strong defensively as she tallied 32 digs for the second consecutive match. Kareemah Hopkins recorded 26 assists in the 3-set victory.
In the opening set, the Knights were tied up with Miramar at 6-6, but used a 12-3 run to pull away and won, 25-14. They carried that momentum over to the start of the second set as City jumped out to an 11-1 lead and cruised to a 25-12 win.
Miramar fought back in the third set and held a 12-7 lead, but the Knights regained their rhythm with a 10-1 spurt to grab a 17-13 lead. City held on, 25-19, to complete the sweep.
All but one of City's seven victories have come by way of a 3-0 sweep.
The Knights, who are currently in 4th place in the PCAC, are in the midst of a 5-match home stand that will wrap up next week with matches against Palomar on Wednesday and MiraCosta on Friday. Both of those are set for 5 p.m.
