Coach Lupian enters his 9th season as the SDCC Women’s Assistant Coach and his 18th season as the Head Men’s Coach in 2023-2024. He is the longest tenured head coach in the history of the tennis program.

In 2017, he was named the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year and the Wilson/ITA Region I California Coach of the Year after leading his team to an undefeated season and the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Championship. Coach Lupian’s position as both the Head Men’s Coach as well as the Assistant Women’s Coach give him a unique perspective that benefits both teams.
