No. 4 Knights Extend Win Streak to Seven
San Diego City's women't tennis team, ranked No. 4 in Southern California, continued its dominating run with 9-0 victories over Southwestern and El Camino this week. The Knights have now extended their win streak to seven, all of which were 9-0 sweeps.

It's the longest winning streak under head coach Jami Jones' 12-year tenure and longest in the Knights' recorded history.
They improved to 9-2 overall and remain undefeated in the PCAC with a 4-0 record.
In Tuesday's win over Southwestern, Jessica Hoffpauir and Chiara Burin earned an 8-2 victory in their No. 1 doubles match and they both won their No. 2 and No. 5 singles matches, respectively, in straight sets.
Jimena Cortes and Anya Villanueva edged out a 9-7 victory in their No. 2 doubles match, while Olivia Gallagher and Jillian Hartman blanked their opponents in No. 3 doubles.
Angie Palmerin (No. 1), Bethlehem Gezahegne (No. 3), Villanueva (No. 4) and Thi Bich Ngoc Dang (No. 6) also won their singles matches in straight sets.
In Friday's 9-0 sweep of El Camino, Gezahegne and Palmerin teamed up for an 8-1 win No. 1 doubles win. The No. 2 duo of Burgin and Villanueva also got an 8-1 win as did the No. 3 team of Dang and Hartman.
Palmerin (No. 1), Villanueva (No. 2), Burgin (No. 3), Dang (No. 4) and Hartman (No. 6) all won their singles matches in straight sets, while No. 5 Gallagher edged out her match in three sets (6-0, 4-6, 11-9).
The Knights will resume PCAC play on Monday, March 17 against second place Grossmont. The Knights can take a 2-match lead over the Griffins with a win.
