Four singles players and two doubles teams qualified for the CCCAA championship beginning on Thursday, April 21 in Ojai, Calif.
Palia Griffin, the Knights' No. 1 on the ladder, finished the season with a 5-9 record after facing every school's top player and has qualified for the state championship tourney.
Three other singles players will also join Griffin including Desiree Wilson, who was the Knights' No. 2. Wilson went 9-4 at that position and had two 4-match win streaks this season.
After opening the season with two losses at the No. 2 position, Brianna Leigh-Pink moved to the No. 3 spot and flourished. She won her next nine matches and ended the season with an 11-2 record at that position.
Karen Lopo spent the entire season as the Knights' No. 4 and won nine of her 15 matches, including four straight in February.
The doubles team of Leigh-Pink and Melissa Gomez went 7-8 at the No. 2 position and will play in the state doubles championship tournament along with the duo of Lopo and Carolina Herrera-Najar, who had a 5-match win streak in February and went 6-4 at the No. 3 spot.
The last time the Knights had a record of .500 or better was in 2007 when they finished 7-7 overall and 6-6 in conference.
