Darby Duprat is in her fifth year as head coach of the San Diego City College women's badminton team. As a player, Duprat helped lead the Knights to consecutive Pacific Coast Athletic Conference championships in 2013 and 2014, as well as CCCAA state championship appearances in those same years.

Duprat was named PCAC Most Valuable Player in 2013 and was also named to the All-PCAC team both of her years at City. She advanced to the quarterfinals of the individual and doubles state championship tournament in 2013. Duprat then made it all the way to the semifinals of both state championship tournaments in 2014.
