City took the first game against Oxnard, 6-1, and followed it up with a 9-3 victory in the second game to improve to 3-4 on the season.
In her first start of the year, Krisell struck out the first six batters she faced in game one and ended with 11 strikeouts, while allowing only three hits to help the Knights get the 6-1 win.
Knights offense didn't get going until the fifth inning when Madison Dagnino, Ari Mallari, and Shayann Beddow each came up with RBI singles with Mallari stealing home base before Beddow's hit.
City was ahead, 4-1, after five innings and then tacked on a sixth run in the sixth inning when Kylie Crull's pop up allowed Karah Barajas to score from third and give the Knights a 6-1 lead.
In the second of today's doubleheader, the game was tied at 2-2 going into the seventh inning when the Knights came alive offensively with seven runs off six hits. Beddow got the inning's first RBI on a single, which was followed by RBI-walkds from Barajas and Kylee Perkins.
Cali De la Rosa and Dagnino followed with RBI-singles of their own and then Mallari finished the inning off with a 2-RBI double to put the game away.
Aubrey Rothstein held Oxnard to just five hits in the second game and struck out four batters to get the win. She and Krisell combined to allow only eight hits in the doubleheader.
The Knights will host a doubleheader on Friday against L.A. Valley beginning at noon. They will host another doubleheader next Wednesday vs. Victor Valley, also starting at noon.
