SIX KNIGHTS NAMED TO ALL-PCAC TEAMS
San Diego City College softball players Vanessa Tirado and Sabrina Figueroa were both named to the All-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference first team, while Alexis Gonzalez and Carley Grant were selected to the second team. Alyssa Gonzalez and Zoe Manjarrez earned honorable mention.

Tirado, a freshman who thrived as the Knights' shortstop and lead-off hitter, was also selected to the All-SoCal team. Her .473 batting average was the fifth best in the PCAC and 20th in the state. Tirado's 28 stolen bases were second in the conference and 6th overall in California. She led her team in hits (52), runs (42), and on base percentage (.582). Tirado finished the season on a 15-game hitting streak and only had two games where she did not get a hit.
Sabrina Figueroa had successful freshman season as the team's No. 1 pitcher and provided lots of offense for the Knights. Her 12 wins in the circle were tied for the 3rd most in the PCAC and her 66 strikeouts on the season were fifth most in the conference. On offense, Figueroa led the Knights with 27 RBI and 13 walks. She was second in hits (43) and batting average (.439), and third in stolen bases with 22. She also added 25 runs and had a 14-game hit streak from mid-March to mid-April.
Alexis Gonzalez earned her spot on the all-PCAC second team by getting the second most RBI on the team (26) along with 32 hits, seven doubles and 19 runs.
Carley Grant's 30 stolen bases were tops in the conference and fifth best in the state. She batted .333 with 35 hits, 10, walks, 18 RBI, 33 runs, and seven doubles.
Alyssa Gonzalez was third on the the team in batting average (.366) and added 26 hits, 14 RBI, 10 runs, and four doubles in 71 at bats.
Second baseman Zoe Manjarrez had a .363 average with a team-leading 13 doubles, 33 hits, 23 RBI, and 18 runs.
