City Pulls Out A 5-4 Win at El Camino
It came down the the final singles match once again and Porter Niccum came through with a straight sets win to give the Knights a 5-4 victory at El Camino. It was their second win in the last three matches with that same score.

The Knights were down 2-1 after the doubles matches with the duo of Brian Espinoza and Eduardo Castillo getting an 8-1 win.
In singles action, Espinoza and Castillo each won their matches in straight sets at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, respectively. Espinoza defeated Joshua Holman, 6-2 and 6-0, while Castillo defeated Keanu Wagner by the same score.
Danny Cao fell to Benjamin Horodner, 2-6 and 1-6 in No. 4 singles, and Ramon Guzman lost in straight sets (2-6, 4-6) to Matthew Martinez at the No. 6 position.
City's Luc DiMartini came up big after dropping the first set, 5-7, to Hector Uribe in No. 5 singles. DiMartini responded with a 7-5 win in the second set and then won the tie-break, 10-3 to even the team score at 4-4.
The last singles match going was Niccum vs. Aaron Smith at No. 3 singles and Niccum pulled out a 6-3 and 6-2 win to clinch the match for the Knights. Niccum was also the deciding match in the win over Mt. San Antonio on Feb. 16 when he earned a 10-3 tie-break victory as the sun was setting.
With Tuesday's win, the Knights improved to 2-2 on the season.
