San Diego City earned its first playoff victory under Head Coach Brandon Lupian onTuesday by edging Glendale, 5-4, in a hard-fought match clinched by Colin Palmer's 3-set win.
It was the second win over Glendale this season as they also won, 6-3, on March 1.
The No. 4-seeded Knights, who suffered first round losses the previous two years, have advanced to play No. 1 Cerritos in the second round. That match will be played at Cerritos College on Tuesday, April 16 at 2 p.m.
The Knights will be looking to avenge their first round loss to Cerritos a year ago.
