ANGEL LOPEZ MAKES ANNUAL DONATION TO SDCC TENNIS
Angel Lopez, the Director of Tennis at San Diego Tennis and Racquet Club, donated 10 cases of new Babolat Championship tennis balls and tennis racquets to the SDCC men's and women's tennis programs.
Angel Lopez, the Director of Tennis at San Diego Tennis and Racquet Club, donated 10 cases of new Babolat Championship tennis balls and tennis racquets to the SDCC men's and women's tennis programs.
Lopez is an SDCC alumnus who played on the 1976 PCC championship team and was also an Ojai Junior College doubles champion. Lopez received a full tennis scholarship to the University of Arizona where he played after leaving SDCC.
Lopez, who was inducted into the San Diego Tennis Hall of Fame, donated a court to SDCC that is now named after him.
Lopez is pictured above with SDCC Women's Tennis Head Coach Jami Yonekura Jones, who he coached during her junior tennis career. Jones was an All-American and NCAA doubles finalist at the University of Miami.
