Sophomore men's tennis player David Lin is a recipient of the Community College Counselors/Advisers Academic Association (3C4A) Achievement Award, which was presented to him at the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) convention on April 1.
Sophomore men's tennis player David Lin is a recipient of the Community College Counselors/Advisers Academic Association (3C4A) Achievement Award, which was presented to him at the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) convention on April 1.
The 3C4A Achievement Award honors student-athletes who have overcome great personal, academic, and/or emotional odds to achieve success while participating in intercollegiate athletics.
Lin, who was born in Paris, France and raised by Asian parents, is a first-generation college student and has earned 4.0 grade point average while playing on the men's tennis team during his two years at San Diego City College.
Lin will graduate from SDCC this Spring and is hoping to transfer to an Ivy League school with the goal of earning a bachelor's degree in Business.
Lin received a plaque and a $250 scholarship at the luncheon which took place at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Ontario, Calif.
