Late Run Gives City 27th Straight Win Over Cuyamaca
San Diego City's 26-game win streak over Cuyamaca was in jeopardy on Friday night as the Coyotes had the game tied with less than five minutes left, but the Knights (19-5, 11-1 PCAC) pulled away late with a 9-0 run to win their 27th straight over Cuyamaca.

Three Knights scored in double figures, including Logan Huston who led with 13 points, three rebounds, and three assists.
Brandon Bento-Jackson knocked down three 3-pointers on his way to 11 points and four rebounds. Kenny Gonzalez led the bench effort with 11 points.
San Diego City had one of their worst shooting performances in the first half as they only made 26.9% of their field goal attempts. Huston, however, made scored 11 of his points in the first period on 4-of-8 shooting.
Cuyamaca didn't shoot much better (30.4%), but went into halftime holding a 26-22 lead.
The Coyotes took a 40-35 lead midway through the second half, but it did last long. City's Junior Camacho checked in and immediately made an impact.
He made a pair a free throws, hit a jumper in the lane, and then knocked down a 3-pointer to give the Knights a 42-40 lead.
After a Marley Gonzalez layup to make it a 9-0 run, Camacho found Brickner streaking down the lane for a lob dunk that broke the rim off the backboard. City's players celebrated and even put the broken rim over Brickner's head, but he was assessed a technical.
There was a 27-minute delay while a new rim was attached by Athletic Director Aaron Detty.
Once play resumed, Cuyamaca went on a 6-2 spurt to tie the game at 48-48 with 4:52 remaining.
It appeared as though it was headed for a tight finish, but the Knights, who shot a scorching 72.2% (13-for-18) in the second half , put together one final run to put the game away.
After three made free throws to go up by three, Bento-Jackson hit back-to-back 3s to push City's lead to 57-48 with 2:33 left.
Cuyamaca did get within six, but Huston and Reid Celestin converted two free throws each to help seal the victory.
The Knights remain one game ahead of MiraCosta for first place in the PCAC, but they'll have a tough 4-game stretch to finish the conference season.
They will play at Miramar next Wednesday at 6 p.m. and will then host MiraCosta on Friday, Feb. 14 at 5 p.m.
City's last two games are at Southwestern on Feb. 19 and home against Palomar on Feb. 21.
