Knights Go 3-For-3 at Allan Hancock Tourney
The No. 7 ranked Knights spent the weekend at Allan Hancock College's Home Motors Tournament and came away with three wins, including two over No. 12 San Jose City and No. 22 Allan Hancock, as they improved to 5-1.

The Knights started the weekend with a wire-to-wire 67-47 victory over Barstow on Friday night in which they led by 20 at halftime. Kenny Gonzalez had 12 points and three assists as the lone starter to score in double figures. Micah Brickner and Junior Camacho each scored 12 points off the bench.
In Saturday's game against No. 12 San Jose City, the Knights grabbed a 48-35 lead, their largest of the game, after a Camacho layup with 10:44 left in the second half to cap a quick 6-0 run.
San Jose, however, fought its way back into the game and used a 19-5 run over the next 10 minutes to take a 54-53 lead with 2:12 left.
The Knights regained the lead on a Logan Huston jumper with 1:22 on the clock. Then, after each team committed a turnover and San Jose missing a layup, Camacho made 1-of-2 free throws to give the Knights a 2-point cushion with seven seconds remaining.
San Jose got the ball back three more times, but the Knights defense forced the Jaguars into three turnovers. Abraham Kamano and Brandon Bento-Jackson each hit a free throw in the final two seconds to help secure the 58-54 win.
San Diego City matched up against No. 22 Allan Hancock on Sunday afternoon and shot only 34.4% in the first half. Allan Hancock shot 59.3% and built a 20-point lead with 5:08 left in the half.
The Knights offense finally got it going at that point and closed the first half with a 13-2 run to get within nine at the half.
San Diego City kept chipping away at the deficit with sophomores Logan Huston and Kenny Gonzalez leading the comeback.
Gonzalez, who scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half, hit a jumper to tie it at 43-43 and added a free throw less than a minute later to give the Knights their first lead of the game with 12:51 remaining.
There were eight ties and nine lead changes over the next seven minutes, but Gonzalez put the Knights ahead for good after another jumper with 5:40 left.
With City ahead by three with 1:20 on the clock, Brandon Bento-Jackson nailed a 3-pointer to push their lead back to six.
Huston, who scored a team-high 21 points, scored all of his 11 second-half points from the free throw line. He helped seal the 73-67 win by making all six of his free throws in the final 31 seconds.
Huston made only three field goals against Allan Hancock, but went 15-for-16 from the free throw line.
Marley Gonzalez added 10 points and Bento-Jackson hit three 3-pointers.
The Knights shot 56.5% in the second half and held Allan Hancock to 41.7%.
San Diego City's schedule does not ease up as they are set to host No. 3 Fullerton at Harry West Gym on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m.
