Stewart, Nunez, Kerby Make All-PCAC First Team
Five San Diego City College baseball players have been selected to the all-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference team, including Justin Kerby, Julian Nunez, and Connor Stewart who all made the first team. Pitchers Austin Correia and Santiago Gomez earned all-PCAC honorable mention.

Kerby, a freshman first baseman, led the Knights with eight home runs and 35 RBI while hitting .326 on the season. He had the second-most hits (46) on the team with eight doubles and two triples in 35 games. He had a .989 fielding percentage and was involved in 20 double plays.
Nunez, a freshman who started all 36 games at shortstop, totaled 45 hits with a team-high 13 doubles and drew a team-best 27 walks while hitting .313. He tied for the most runs scored with 38 and drove in 23, which was fourth most on the Knights. He also had the second most steals with 10. On the defensive end, Nunez had 104 assists with 62 putouts and 20 double plays.
Stewart, a freshman who played catcher and third base for City, led the team in hits (60), batting average (.411), and runs scored (38). He was second on the Knights in RBI with 29 and hit seven doubles along with one triple and a home run. He only had eight strikeouts in 146 at-bats and tied for the most steals (11). He threw out nine-of-30 runners for a caught stealing percentage of .300.
Correia, a left-handed sophomore pitcher, made 16 appearances on the season, including 10 starts. He finished with a 3.78 ERA in 69.0 innings with one complete game. Correia recorded a total of 58 strikouts, which was second most on the Knights.
Gomez, a sophomore righty, started 11 games for City and made a total of 15 appearances with a 7-2 record, including one save and one complete game. He ended the season with a 4.46 ERA in a team-high 76.2 innings pitched. He led the Knights with 66 strikouts and had two games in which he struck out 10 or more batters.
