Diandra Jara Leads Knights at Manny Bautista Invite
As she has done at the previous two meets, Deandra Jara was the Knights' fastest runner once again at the Manny Bautista Cross Country Invite, hosted by San Diego Mesa College and held at Liberty Station's NTC Park on Friday morning. Running among the largest field of the season, Jara finished the 5k course in 35th overall with a time of 21:09.9, which nearly equaled her personal record.

Jackeline Reyes was the next Knight to cross the finish line and was only three seconds off her personal record set at the Coach Downey Classic last week. Reyes was 64th with a time of 23:01.6.
In her first 5k of the season, Leslie Barajas ran the NTC Park course in 24:30, which was good for 90th place.
Nihal Samaha (105th, 27:04.1), Jada Troek (117th, 30:54.5), Ailynn Renteria (121st, 33:01.7), Selena Garcia (123rd, 33:11.9), and Ornella Spinelli (124th, 33:26.9) all scored for the Knights as they finished in 14th place as a team.
The Knights have three weeks to get ready for the PCAC championship meet on October 28, which will be held at Norco College at 10 a.m.
