Bio

Volleyball has always been a major passion in Coach Reid’s life.  Growing up playing volleyball, she spent most of her career as a setter. That all changed when she first came to City College and had the chance to switch positions from a setter to starting libero her Freshman year.

This ultimately led her to receiving PCAC All-Tournament honorable mention selection. Once her Sophomore year began, she went back to her roots as a setter and ran a 5-1 offense where she contributed to the SDCC Women’s Volleyball success as one of the Elite 8 of California and had the honor of being named 1st team PCAC.

In addition to her two years at City, she also began honing her skills as a Beach Volleyball player where she later gained recognition for being All-PCAC her second and final year. This enabled her to transfer and continue her volleyball career at Cardinal Stritch University on both an academic and athletic scholarship. She spent her last two years where she trained to be one of the two starting setters in a 6-2 offense my junior year then later transitioning to a 5-1 offense her senior year.

The drive and urge to compete never left her throughout her time as an athlete and everyday she worked hard to achieve her goals. Being a full time student-athlete and part-time worker helped lead her into earning both an AA in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Multiple Subject Teaching at San Diego City College and BS in Mathematics at Cardinal Stritch University.

Coach Reid is excited to bring her many talents back to San Diego City College Women’s Volleyball program and looks forward to helping our student-athletes achieve their dream of playing at the collegiate level.
