Knight Rally Back to Edge SWC, 3-2, in Final Match of the Season
The San Diego City College women's volleyball team ended its season with an exciting 3-2 (25-22, 21-25, 22-25, 25-23, and 15-13) comeback win over Southwestern with sophomore Kally Norvell scoring the final point with an ace in her last match with the Knights. The victory snapped a 4-match losing streak and improved the final record to 7-13 overall and 5-9 in the PCAC.

The victory snapped a 4-match losing streak and improved the final record to 7-13 overall and 5-9 in the PCAC.
Norvell had 31 assists to go along with a team-high 24 digs. Elizabeth Hunsaker led the way offensively with 20 kills, while Faith Patterson added nine kills and 23 digs. Alyssa Fletes contributed eight kills and 23 digs.
City took a 1-0 lead after winning the opening set, 25-22, but Southwestern responded by winning the next two sets, 25-21 and 25-22, to take a 2-1 lead.
It was looking as though Southwestern was headed towards a fourth set victory, but the Knights rallied back to edge out a 25-23 win to force a fifth and deciding set.
The Knights fell behind once again, but staged another rally and Norvell put the match away with an ace to give City a 15-13 win.
Jadin Holland was strong defensively as she has been all season and ended up with 21 digs. Ashley Davies had four kills and 15 digs, while Riley Hearn provided five kills and 13 digs.
