City's Win Streak Snapped by Palomar
San Diego City had a two-match win streak coming into Wednesday's contest vs. Palomar, but after taking a 2-1 lead the Knights could not hang on and fell to the Comets in five sets (22-25, 25-22, 25-13, 24-26, 11-15).

Fath Patterson had 19 kills and 24 digs, while Ashley Davies added 15 kills and 19 digs in the loss.
The Knights are now 6-10 overall and 4-6 in the PCAC, which puts them in fifth place with four matches remaining.
After dropping the opening set against Palomar, the Knights responded with a 25-22 win in which Patterson recorded seven of her 19 kills. Davies put down five kills in the third set as the Knights cruised to a 25-13 victory to go up 2-1.
City looked as though they were headed towards another win in the fourth set, but Palomar came back with a late rally and forced a fifth set by winning, 26-24. Jadin Holland had 10 of her match-high 30 digs in that fourth set, but it wasn't enough to stave off the oncoming Comets.
Holland is currently averages 6.07 digs per set, which is third best in the state. She is 11th in total digs with 352.
Palomar pulled away late in the deciding set and ended the Knights' win streak.
Sophomore Kally Norvell totaled 43 assists on the night to go along with 19 digs. Elizabeth Hunsaker recorded 10 digs and added eight total blocks. Alyssa Fletes also had a strong night on defense with 25 digs.
The Knights will play at MiraCosta on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. They will then finish the season with three consecutive home matches beginning with Grossmont on Nov. 5 at 6 p.m.
