Knights Make the Playoffs For First Time in Program's History

The San Diego City College women's soccer team wrapped up its most successful season in school history with a 5-0 win at Imperial Valley last Friday, and today, the Knights found out they are headed to the playoffs for the first time ever. The Knights are set to play at Long Beach City on Thursday, November 18 with the game time yet to be announced.

Riana Kitchen Scored a Hat Trick in City's 7-0 Win

In the final PCAC home game of the season, the Knights put on a strong performance as they dominated in a 7-0 victory over Miramar with Riana Kitchen recording a hat trick and goalkeeper Chloe Sevilla scoring her first goal. City improved to 8-3-2 overall and 7-3-2 in the PCAC.

City Settles for 3-3 Draw Against Palomar

It seemed as though the Knights were headed towards a victory when Kiki Josephson's 73rd minute goal put them up, 3-1, but Palomar responded with two quick goals and City had to settle for a draw in a game they needed to win.

Sachiko Kure Named PCAC Athlete of the Week

The Pacific Coast Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday that women's soccer player Sachiko Kure has been named as one if its Athletes of the Week for the week ending on October 17. She is now the third Knight to earn this accolade so far as she joins women's volleyball player Ashley Davies and women's cross country runner Sofya Chernyak.

Knights Win 6th Straight On Valle's Late Goal

It appeared as though Friday's home game against Southwestern was headed to a scoreless draw, but Fatima Valle changed that outcome when she knocked in a loose ball in the 81st minute to give the Knights a 1-0 victory, their sixth in a row, and fifth consecutive shutout.

Kure Scores a Hat Trick in 9-0 Rout of Imperial Valley

Freshman forward Sachiko Kure scored her first hat trick of the season in a 9-0 home victory over Imperial Valley on Tuesday. It was City's fifth consecutive win and fourth straight shutout as the Knights improved to 6-1 overall and 5-1 in the PCAC.

Knights Score 3 Goals in 2nd Half to Shutout Grossmont

After a scoreless first half, the San Diego City College women's soccer team put in three goals in the final 30 minutes to earn a 3-0 home win over Grossmont. Goals by freshmen Kiki Josephson, Fatima Valle, and Sydney Sanchez gave the Knights their third win of the season as they improved to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the PCAC.
