Knights Pull Away Late for a 57-46 Home Win Over MiraCosta
The Knights snapped a 4-game skid on Wednesday night by holding off a late surge from MiraCosta to win, 57-46, with sophomores Kaniya Lloyd and Sarah Henry each scoring 17 points. The Knights improved to 8-14 overall and 2-6 in the PCAC.

Lloyd also recorded five rebounds, four assists, and three steals, while Henry brought down nine rebounds to go with three assists and two steals.
Sophomore Vean Gorgees added 14 points and nine rebounds in the victory.
After the Knights took a 14-11 lead at the end of the first quarter, MiraCosta grabbed a brief 19-18 lead in the second quarter, but San Diego City responded with 12-2 run to take a 31-21 advantage late in the half.
The Knights heated up in the third quarter, making 50% of their shots, as they used a 15-1 run in the first 6:19 of the second half to take their largest lead of the game at 46-25.
MiraCosta, however, rallied back with a 19-1 run of their own to cut City's lead down to just 47-44 with 3:14 remaining in the fourth quarter.
The Knights took advantage of MiraCosta's foul trouble and hit six free throws in the final minute of the game as part of a 10-2 spurt to pull away for the 57-46 win.
Cusha Landry provided six points, three rebounds, and two steals off the bench for the Knights.
City will be on the road on Friday at Cuyamaca with a 7 p.m. tipoff time. It will be the third time they play the Coyotes with the Knights winning the previous two games.
