Larissa Cheney Signs With Stanton Universtiy

Sophomore guard Larissa Chaney will be continuing her education and basketball career at Stanton University in Garden Grove, Calif. next fall. Chaney recently graduated from San Diego City College and was named the James Swinson female scholar athlete of the year by the City College athletic department.

Sarah Henry Named PCAC Athlete of the Week

Sophomore Sarah Henry had a strong finish to the season as she helped the Knights win their final two games and was rewarded by being named Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week.

Kaniya Lloyd Named PCAC Athlete of the Week

The Knights earned back-to-back wins over MiraCosta and Cuyamaca during the first week of Februrary with sophomore Kaniya Lloyd playing a big role in those victories and she has been rewarded by being named PCAC Athlete of the Week.

Knights Pull Away Late for a 57-46 Home Win Over MiraCosta

The Knights snapped a 4-game skid on Wednesday night by holding off a late surge from MiraCosta to win, 57-46, with sophomores Kaniya Lloyd and Sarah Henry each scoring 17 points. The Knights improved to 8-14 overall and 2-6 in the PCAC.

Knights Cruise Past Bakersfield, 67-50

The Knights ended the Santa Ana College tournament on a high note as they pulled away in the second half to defeat Bakersfield, 67-50, with Kaniya Lloyd leading the way with 21 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. Cusha Landry recorded her second double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Knights Win 3 Straight; Lloyd Named MVP of Knights Invitational

The Knights played their first home games of the season at this week's Knights Invitational and they came away with three straight wins over Santa Ana, Reedley, and Cuyamaca with sophomore Kaniya Lloyd being named MVP and Cusha Landry being selected to the all-tournament team.

Knights Blowout Barstow; Gorgees Makes All-Tourney With 62 PTS on Opening Weekend

Sophomore guard Vean Gorgees poured in a total of 62 points in the Knights' first three games of the season, including 21 points off the bench in a 94-38 win over Barstow, to earn all-tournament honors at the Mt. San Antonio College Tip-Off tournament. The Knights lost the season opener, 75-55, to Merritt College on Friday before beating Barstow, and then fell to Rio Hondo, 81-55, to end the weekend.
