Henry Drops 25 Points In Win Over MiraCosta
Sarah Henry poured in a season-high 25 points, nine rebounds, and five steals in the Knights' 66-50 home win over MiraCosta on Monday night. Kaniya Lloyed added nine points and a season-best 18 rebounds as the Knights improved to 4-3 in the PCAC and 8-13 overall.

Neither team was able to score for the first 2:31 of the game, but the Knights finally got on the board with a jumper from A'sontee Jackson and they kept rolling from there. City outscored MiraCosta 18-6 in the first quarter and held the Spartans to 3-of-17 shooting.
San Diego City heated up in the second quarter, making eight of their 13 attempts while holding MiraCosta to 4-of-17 shooting. Henry scored nine points in the second quarter to help City build a 38-14 halftime lead, their largest of the game.
The third quarter, however, did not go the way they woulld've hoped. The Knights were still ahead by 17 midway through the third, but MiraCosta put together a 16-3 run over the next eight minutes to get within 44-40 with 8:12 remaining in the fourth quarter.
With all the momentum going MiraCosta's way, Henry came up big on the Knights' next possession by knocking down a much-needed 3-pointer from the right wing to put them up seven.
After getting City's lead down to six with 6:03 left, a 6-0 spurt, including a Lloyd layup, a Cerina Nguyen jumper, and a pair of Henry free throws put the game away as the Knights went back up by 12 with 2:50 remaining.
The Knights hit 10-of-16 free throws in the final quarter. Henry, who made a season-high 12-of-15 from the free throw line, knocked down all four of her attempts in the fourth to help seal the win.
Nguyen posted a line of eight points, seven rebounds, and four blocks. Jackson added nine points, seven rebounds, and three assists off the bench.
Point guard Caitlyn McCoy had eight points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
The Knights are on the road for the next two games starting with a game at Southwestern on Wednesday at 5 p.m., then at Grossmont on February 11.
