Knights Go 1-2 at Mt. SAC Tourney; Lloyd Makes All-Tourney
The all-freshman Knights were finally back in action last weekend at the Mt. San Antonio College tournemant after going nearly 21 months without a game and came away with a 45-point win over Saddleback and losses to Mt. San Antonio and Long Beach. Kaniya Lloyd made the all-tournament tournament team after averaging 18.7 points, 11 rebounds, and 2.3 steals in the three games.

San Antonio College tournemant after going nearly 21 months without a game and came away with a 45-point win over Saddleback and losses to Mt. San Antonio and Long Beach. Kaniya Lloyd made the all-tournament tournament team after averaging 18.7 points, 11 rebounds, and 2.3 steals in the three games.
Lloyd led the Knights with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and two steals in the season opening 97-42 loss to a strong Mt. San Antonio team.
City bounced back with a 74-29 victory over Saddleback on the second day of the tournament with all five starters scoring in double figures. Vean Gorgees led the way with 16 points, seven rebounds, and three steals, while Lloyd added 15 points on 7-for-14 shooting with nine rebounds.
Sarah Henry put in 13 points to go along with nine rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Caitlyn McCoy had a good all-around game with 12 points, five rebounds, five assists, and six steals. A'sontee Jackson provided 11 poinst and eight steals against Saddleback.
In Sunday's 73-41 loss at the hands Long Beach, Lloyd led the Knights once again with 20 points, 13 rebounds, and three steals. Sarah Henry added 12 points and seven rebounds.
The Knights will now turn their attention to Pasadena's tournament where they will start off with another game against Saddleback on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. They will then matchup against Pasadena on Nov. 12 at 4 p.m.
