SUM YI NGAO WINS STATE SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP!!

San Diego City College women's badminton player Sum Yin Ngai became the first in school history to win the CCCAA state singles championship on Saturday by defeating all four of her opponents over the two-day tournament. 

Ngai, a freshman, defeated Pasadena City College's Xiaoming Yao (21-11, 21-10) in the title match. She also made it to the semifinals of the doubles championship with parter Anita Xayasomloth.
