KNIGHTS COMPLETE UNDEFEATED SEASON, ADVANCE TO REGIONAL PLAYOFF
The Knights ended the 2013 regular season as Pacific Coast Athletic Conference champions with an undefeated 8-0 record for the second straight season after defeating San Diego Mesa, 20-1, on Wednesday. The defending conference and state champions have won 18 consecutive matches and are headed towards a playoff match against Pasadena, winner of the South Coast Conference, on Wednesday, May 1 at 3 p.m.

The winner of that playoff match, which will be played at San Diego City's Harry West Gym, will advance to the CCCAA state championship final to be played at Pasadena City College on May 9th.
Five of the six singles players for the Knights finished the season with a 16-0 record, including No. 1 Darby Duprat, No. 3 Thao Nguyen, No. 4 Lena Van, No. 5 Cassandra Ka, and No. 6 Kareen Escobedo. No. 2 Sophia Tran finished with a 14-2 record.
All three doubles teams also finished with an undefeated record. No. 1 Duprat/Nguyan and No. 2 Van/Tran went 16-0, while the No. 3 team of Ka/Escobedo went 7-0.
Head Coach Son Nguyen is looking to lead his Knights to a fifth state championship. He directed the Knights to state titles in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2012.
