Four Knights Set Personal Records at PCAC Championship; Knights Qualify for SoCal Regional

Sean Monney, who finished as City's top runner for the first time this season, and three other Knights set new personal records at the PCAC championship to help the Knights qualify for the Southern California regional championship for the first time since 2021.

Four Knights Set PRs at Bautista XC Invite

City's men's cross country team was back on the course on Friday at the Manny Bautista XC Invite and had four runners set new personal records, including Emmanuel Zavala, Coby Montes, Brandon Hernandez, and Cortez Taylor.

City Claims Third Place at Downey XC Classic

The Knights had a full team for the first time this season and had a great outing at the Coach Downey XC Classic as they claimed third place with David Kelling leading the way with an 11th place finish. It was City's best run at the Downey Classic since 2017 when they won first place.

David Kelling Leads City at SD XC Kickoff Meet

The all-freshman men's cross country team had four runners compete in the season-opening San Diego XC Kickoff meet at Harry Griffen Park in La Mesa with David Kelling leading the Knights with a 17th place finish. Kelling, who is an ultra runner adjusting to shorter distances, completed the 5k course in 19:26.

Christian Juarez Sets PR at Mesa Invite

Christian Juarez was the lone runner for the Knights at the Manny Bautista Cross Coutry Invite, hosted by San Diego Mesa College and held at Liberty Station's NTC Park, and he completed the 4-mile course in 23:35.8, which was a new personal record.

Juarez Leads Knights With 12th Place Run at Downey Classic

After nearly a month since their first meet of the season, the men's cross country team was finally back in action at their home meet, the Coach Downey Classic, with Christian Juarez leading the way with a 12th place finish.

Shorthanded Knights Show Promise at Kickoff Meet

The men's cross country team was shorthanded at its first meet of the season, the San Diego Cross Country Kickoff at Harry Griffen Park in La Mesa, with only two runners, but they showed promise. Freshman Christian Juarez ran the 3-mile course in 18:52, which was good for 15th place overall. Pedro Mariscal beat out some more experienced runners and crossed the finish line in 35th place with a time of 22:27.

Lozoya, Delgado Lead Knights at Mesa Invite

Alan Lozoya and Armando Delgado were San Diego City's top finishers at the San Diego Mesa Invite on Friday as they clocked in at 23:58.6 and 24:06.0, respectively. As a team, the Knights did not perform as well as they had hoped and came in 15th place.

City with 4 in Top 20 to Earn 2nd Place at Bakersfield Invitational

San Diego City's men's cross country team participated in their second meet on Friday at the Bakersfield Invitational and came in second place with four Knights in the top 20. Nathaniel Loving was the first Knight to cross the finish line by running the 4-mile course in 23:40, good for 10th place.

San Diego City's men's cross country team finished third at the PCAC championship on Friday at Morley Field with Anthony Orduno and Omar Jimenez placing in the top 10.

Sophomore Anthony Orduno was City's top finisher for the third time this season as he helped the Knights earn fifth place at the Brubaker Invitational at Irvine Regional Park.

The San Diego City College men's cross country team had a strong showing at the Bakersfield Invitational on Friday with two top-6 finishers and a second place result as a team.
