The Knights placed fourth at Friday's championship, held at Morley Field, with Monney coming in 19th place with a 4-mile time of 23:52. He chopped off 1:13 off his previous PR to take the top spot amont the team.
David Kelling, who was City's fastest runner at the previous four meets, was not too far behind as she clocked in at 24:16 to claim 22nd place overall.
Emmanuel Zavala was the third Knight to cross the finish line and shaved 1:09 off from the previous race to clock in at 26:54 (26th), which is a new 4-mile personal record.
Coby Montes cut 40 seconds off his previous best to finish in 28:22 (28th) and Brandon Hernandez ran 34 seconds faster (28:31; 29th) to earn a new PR.
Cortez Taylor ran the Morley Field course in 31:24 (32nd).
The Knights have two weeks to prepare for the SoCal regional championship, which will be held at El Dorado East Regional Park in Long Beach on November 3.
