Knights Win 5th Straight, 7-2, Over El Camino
San Diego City's men's tennis team won its fifth consecutive match on Thursday, 7-2, over El Camino to improve to 8-1 overall and 6-1 in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference. The Knights swept all three doubles matches and won four of the six singles matches to earn their second win over El Camino this season.

The No. 1 doubles pair of Andrew Suver and Cody Jensen edged out El Camino's Salight Choi and Jordan Alexander, 9-8. City's No. 2 pair of Carlos Robles and Eduardo Castillo knocked off Daniel Hermosisima/Ignas Kirkila, 9-7, and No. 3 doubles team of Brian Espinoza and Sebastian Castaneda got an 8-0 victory over Joshua Horodner/Hector Uribe.
In singles play, No. 1 Suver defeated Choi in three sets, 6-4, 6-7, and 7-1, while No. 3 Robles got past Josh Holman in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-1.
Castillo, at the No. 4 spot, also got won in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-1, over Aaron Smith. In No. 5 singles, Castaneda lost the first set to El Camino's Horodner, 6-7, but came back to win the next set, 6-2, and the tie-break, 10-5, to win the match.
City suffered losses at the No. 2 (Espinoza) and No. 6 (Danny Cao) positions.
The Knights are back home for the next match on Thursday, March 10 at 2 p.m. vs. Mt. San Antonio.
