No. 3 Knights Use Big 2nd Half Run to Blowout Mesa
San Diego City is off to a dominant start in conference play after thrashing Mesa, 81-48, on Wednesday night to improve to 3-0 in the PCAC with the average margin in those three wins being 34.3 points. Five Knights scored in double figures, including Dexter Stratton who led the team with 13 points and 10 rebounds off the bench as the No. 3-ranked Knights moved to 12-3 overall.

Al Green finished with 12 points and seven steals, and KJay Bradley also scored 12 points with five assists. In a starting role, Keavie Love had 11 points, four rebounds, and four steals, while Denis Kamburov added 10 points off the bench.
The Knights scored 16 of the game's first 20 points to take a 12-point lead near the midpoint of the first half. City went ahead by as many as 15 points in the half and were trying to take complete control, but Mesa hung around and stayed within 13 as the teams went into the locker room.
With the Knights still holding a 13-point lead early in the second half, a Love layup at the 16:14 mark started a 19-2 run over the next five minutes to open up a 64-34 advantage. City's lead grew to as many as 36 late in the second half as they went on to get their third straight victory by at least 32 points.
It was City's eighth win in the last nine games and also the Knights' seventh consecutive win over Mesa.
San Diego City will play their first PCAC road game on Friday at Southwestern at 5 p.m. The next home game is scheduled for Jan. 10 at 5 p.m. vs. Imperial Valley.
