City Starts PCAC With 32-Point Win Over Grossmont

Alex Crawford put in 18 points with nine rebounds, Dexter Stratton led the bench effort with 15 points, KJay Bradley had 14 points, seven assists, and four steals, and Dillon Cubit added 14 points to go with seven rebounds as the Knights improved to 10-3 overall and 1-0 in the PCAC.
The Knights' first three buckets came by way of dunks, which set the tone early as they raced out to a 31-4 lead 10 minutes into the game. San Diego City forced Grossmont into 13 turnovers during that run and 19 in the first half to help the Knights build a 58-26 halftime lead.
San Diego City shot 61.5% in the first half with Cubit and Crawford each scoring 12 points in the opening period.
San Diego City took its largest lead of the game less than five minutes into the second half when a 3-pointer by Al Green put them ahead by 40.
The Knights dominated down low with a 64-32 advantage on points in the paint and turned 29 Grossmont turnovers into 37 points.
City has now won 16 consecutive games over Grossmont with the last loss coming on Dec. 6, 2015.
The Knights are home again on Friday at 5 p.m. against Cuyamaca who they have beaten 23 straight times.
