Knights Earn No. 8 Seed, Will Host Second Round Playoff on Saturday, Feb. 25
The San Diego City men's basketball team (23-5) has earned the No. 8 seed and is set to host a second round California Community College Athletic Association regional playoff on Saturday, February 25 at 7 p.m. against the winner of No. 9 Cerritos (19-9) and No. 24 Copper Mountain (16-12).

This is ninth consecutive season that the Knights have qualified for the postseason tournament and the 13th time since 2001. It is also the third straight season that they have secured a first round bye.
The Knights wrapped up the regular season by winning eight of their last nine conference games to finish 14-2, which was good for second place in the PCAC. With their 23 overall wins, San Diego City surpassed the 20-win mark for the eighth time in the last nine seasons.
City's second round opponent will be determined when Copper Mountain travels to Cerritos for a first round matchup on Wednesday, February 25 at 7 p.m. The Knights did not play Cerritos this season, but did face Copper Mountain twice. City defeated the Fighting Cacti, 74-49, on December 3 at the Grossmont tournament and edged out a 58-53 home win over them on December 30.
Admission for the playoffs is $12 for the general public and $8 for students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children less than 12 years of age.
