Admission for the playoffs is $12 for the general public and $8 for students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children less than 12 years of age. Masks must be worn at all times unless actively eating or drinking.
This is the eighth consecutive season that the Knights have made it into the postseason and the 12th time since 2001.
The Knights (25-3) are fresh off winning their ninth Pacific Coast Athletic Conference championship since 2001 after going an undefeated 16-0, which also includes two forfeit victories over Imperial Valley in the final week of the season. Not counting those two forfeits, the Knights won the other 14 conference games by an average margin of 24.0 points.
Interim Head Coach Andy Ground was named PCAC Coach of the Year and sophomore Jonathan Ogugua was named PCAC Most Valuable Player. Five other Knights were also named to the all-conference team, including sophomore Drew Cisse (first team), freshman Josh Williams (first team), sophomore Makiah Morris (second team), freshman Anthony Howell (second team), and freshman Graham Cook (honorable mention).
Although the Knights went through the PCAC without a loss, it has been a strong year for the PCAC with three other teams making the tournament, including No. 14 Palomar (18-10), No. 15 Miramar (18-10), and No. 21 MiraCosta (14-14).
Thursday's home playoff game will be live-streamed on the Knights' YouTube channel. The winner will advance to play the winner of No. 5 Santiago Canyon (22-5) vs. No. 12 Cerro Coso (22-6) or No. 21 MiraCosta on Saturday, March 5.
