Knights' Hot Start Leads to Another Decisive Win Over Grossmont
The Knights won their sixth consecutive game on Friday by blowing out Grossmont, 87-54, with Jonathan Oguguga scoring a game-high 25 points to go along with seven rebounds. Drew Cisse had a strong all-around performance with 14 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, and six blocks.

San Diego City improved to 15-3 overall and remained undefeated in the PCAC at 6-0. All six conference wins so far have been by double digits and five of the victories have been by at least 30 points.
The Knights came out hot, making their first six shots to jump out to a 15-2 lead. Ogugua scored 11 of those and was up to 22 points with 5:19 left in the first half after he connected on six of his first 10 shots, including five 3-pointers, to help the Knights build a 37-18 lead.
Grossmont, led by Vincent Warren's 22 points, put together an 11-0 run to get within eight points, but the Knights scored the last five points of the half to go up 42-29.
City outscored the Griffins, 26-14, in the first 10 minutes of the second half to take a 25-point lead and put the game out of reach.
San Diego City held Grossmont to 27.6% shooting and outrebounded the Griffins, 48-33. City made 13-of-26 from three-point territory, making it the fifth time this season that the Knights have shot at least 50% from deep.
The Knights' bench scored 36 points, including nine from Taleh Wade.
Anthony Howell, who didn't play until January 12, has already made an impact. He has started the last two games and scored 12 points at MiraCosta and 10 points against Grossmont.
City's next two games are on the road at Cuyamaca on Wednesday, January 26 and at Mesa on January 28. The next home game is scheduled for January 31 at 5 p.m. vs. Southwestern.
