City's Late Rally Falls Short in Regional Final
The No. 4-seeded Knights were down by as many as 17 points in the second half and nearly pulled off another comeback against 21-seed MiraCosta in a Southern California regional final, but the Spartans hung on for a 68-64 upset win to eliminate San Diego City from the postseason.

Knights Get Past LBCC, 88-72, to Advance to Regional Final
San Diego City's men's basketball team has advanced to a CCCAA Southern California regional final after getting past 20-seed Long Beach City, 88-72, in the second round on Thursday night. The 4-seeded Knights (26-3), who have now won 17 in a row, will host 21-seed MiraCosta on Saturday, March 5 at 7 p.m. for a chance to reach the state championship quarterfinals for the third time in the last five seasons.

Knights Set To Host 2nd Round Playoff on Thursday, March 3
The San Diego City men's basketball team is set to host a second round California Community College Athletic Association regional playoff on Thursday, March 3 at 7 p.m. The Knights have been seeded No. 4 and will face the winner of No. 13 Irvine Valley (18-10) and No. 20 Long Beach City (17-11) who will play in the first round on Tuesday, March 1.

Ogugua's Buzzer Beater Clinches PCAC Championship!
The Knights trailed by 10 points with 2:06 remaining, but they put together a furious rally by forcing five MiraCosta turnovers down the stretch and then won the game, 75-73, on a Jonathan Ogugua off-balance jumper as time expired. The win clinched the 2022 PCAC championship, City's ninth since 2001, as the Knights remained undefeated in conference play at 13-0.

Knights Win 10th Straight, 74-64, Over Miramar
Drew Cisse brought down a career high 21 rebounds to go along with 19 points and two blocks to help San Diego City earn its 10th consecutive victory, 74-64, over Miramar on Wednesday night. Jonathan Ogugua scored 19 points with four steals and Anthony Howell added 13 points and 10 rebounds as the Knights improved to 19-3 overall and 10-0 in the PCAC.

City Pulls Away in 2nd Half For 9th Straight Win
San Diego City held a slight 35-32 halftime lead and then outscored Southwestern by 14 points in the second half to earn its ninth consecutive victory, 76-59, to improve to 18-3 overall and 9-0 in the PCAC. Jonathan Ogugua led the way offensively with 19 points, while Drew Cisse brought down a game-high 10 rebounds to go with his nine points.

Knights' Hot Start Leads to Another Decisive Win Over Grossmont
The Knights won their sixth consecutive game on Friday by blowing out Grossmont, 87-54, with Jonathan Oguguga scoring a game-high 25 points to go along with seven rebounds. Drew Cisse had a strong all-around performance with 14 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, and six blocks.

Knights Rout Palomar to Win 4th Straight
The Knights put together another impressive performance on Friday night, overcoming a slow start by using a 27-4 first-half run to turn a close game into an 89-53 rout over Palomar into a rout. City is off to a 4-0 start in the PCAC and improved to 13-3 overall.

City Starts With a 32-2 Run in Blowout Win Over Mesa
San Diego City had an remarkable start against Mesa on Friday by scoring the game's first 13 points and then getting out to a 32-2 lead eight minutes in as they cruised to a 97-62 home victory over Mesa (5-3, 0-1 PCAC) to improve to 11-3 overall and 2-0 in the PCAC. Jonathan Ogugua led City with 15 points, five rebounds, three assists, and four steals.

Knights Advance to Fullerton Tourney Title Game, But Fall to Sequoias
After winning last week's Grossmont tournament championship, the No. 7 Knights won the first two games at the Fullerton College tournament to make it to another title game, but ultimately fell to No. 14 Sequioias, 83-65. Jonathan Ogugua, who is averaging 18 points per game (tied for 21st in Calif.), led the Knights with 16 points, while Jackson Larsen provided 14 points and four rebounds off the bench in the loss that ended their 5-game win streak.

Knights Edge No. 2 West Valley to Claim Grossmont Tourney Title
San Diego City held on for a 64-63 win over the No. 2 team in the state, West Valley, to claim the Grossmont tournament championship for the fourth time in the last five seasons. Jonathan Ogugua was named tournament Most Outstanding Player and Makiah Morris was selected to the all-tournament team.

Knights' 2nd Half Defense Catapults Them to 89-59 Win To Start PCAC Season
San Diego City used an 18-2 run early in the second half to turn a tight game into an 89-59 blowout win over Cuyamaca to start the PCAC season. It was the 20th consecutive victory over the Coyotes as the Knights improved to 10-3 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

No. 14 Knights Fall to No. 1 Fullerton, 70-61
Jonathan Oguggua and Josh Williams combined to score 46 points on Saturday, but it wasn't enough to help the Knights get past the No. 1 ranked team in the state as Fullerton pulled away in the second half to win, 70-61. The loss ended the Knights' two-game win streak and dropped their record to 4-2.

Knights Dominate in Home Wins Over OCC and Barstow
San Diego City's men's basketball team dominated in its first two home games as they defeated Orange Coast, 97-66, and Barstow, 123-72, to improve to 4-1 this season. Sophomore Drew Cisse led the way against Orange Coast with 16 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocks, while sophomore Jonathan Ogugua poured in 19 points with six assists in the win over Barstow.

San Diego City's men's basketball team opened its 2021-22 campaign at the Gehler Memorial Tournament (Miramar College) on Thursday and advanced to the championship game after defeating Copper Mountain and MiraCosta, but fell to the hosts, 62-55, in the title game. Jonathan Ogugua and Josh Williams were selected to the all-tournament team.
