City Gets a 3-0 Home Win Over Miramar
The Knights got back in the win column on Friday night with a 3-0 sweep of Miramar at Harry West Gym to improve to 5-5 in the PCAC. Alexis Mines led the offensive effort with 11 kills and also had eight digs, while Ashley Davies added seven kills and nine digs.

City had lost five straight coming into tonight's match, but started off strong against Miramar by scoring the first 11 points of the opening set. The Knights dominated that first set and went on to win, 25-6.
The Knights fell behind, 12-7, to start the second set, but put together a 7-0 run during Jillian Geenen's serve to take a 14-12 lead. From that point on, Miramar only scored four more points as City pulled away. Ryla Manalang ended the set with an ace to give the Knights a 25-16 win to go up 2-0.
In the third set, Miramar took another early 3-point lead, but the Knights came back to tie it at 12-12. It looked as thought City was going to pull away after grabbing a 19-15 lead on Veronica Allen's kill, but Miramar closed to gap at 19-18.
The Knights scored four of the next five points to take a 23-19 lead, but Miramar scored four straight points to tie it at 23-23. With the set tied once again at 25-25, City scored two in a row, including Kai Arriaga's kill to end the match.
Geenen finished with 20 assists and Manalang added another 12 assists.
