Knights Dominate in Home Wins Over OCC and Barstow
San Diego City's men's basketball team dominated in its first two home games as they defeated Orange Coast, 97-66, and Barstow, 123-72, to improve to 4-1 this season. Sophomore Drew Cisse led the way against Orange Coast with 16 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocks, while sophomore Jonathan Ogugua poured in 19 points with six assists in the win over Barstow.

The Knights jumped out to a 20-6 lead in their home opener against Orange Coast on Friday and never looked back. They shot 75.8% in the first half on 25-for-33 shooting as they built a 59-36 halftime lead with sophomore Makiah Morris scoring 11 of his 13 points in that first half.
City cooled off just a little in the second half, but ended up shooting an impressive 65% for the game with 25 assists on 39 made buckets. Cisse's produced his 16 points, 13 boards, and four blocks in only 14 minutes of action off the bench. Starters Graham Cook and Jackson Larsen scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, while Lamon Hudson added 10 points, five rebounds, and three assists off the bench.
The Knights got off to another fast start on Saturday against Barstow by scoring the first 12 points of the game. Their lead grew to 28-6 less than seven minutes into the game as they shot lights out once again. They made 61% of their attempts in the first half, including 50 percent (8-of-16) on 3-pointers as they built a 66-40 halftime lead.
Ogugua put in 16 of his 19 points in the first half, while Josh Williams scored 12 of his 14 points in the first.
The Knights shot even better in the second half (65.6%) on their way to a 51-point victory. There were four City players with at least five assists, including Ogugua and Williams with six a piece. As a team, the Knights recorded 35 assists on 46 made shots.
As a starter in Saturday's game vs. Barstow, Cisse totaled nine points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks in 16 minutes of work. Morris added 13 points and seven rebounds, while Larsen provided 14 points and five rebounds off the bench. Raphael Allen contributed 11 points, also off the bench.
These two home games were part of the Knights Invitational which also included Southwestern defeating Barstow, 79-69, and Orange Coast, 75-64.
The Knights will now two weeks off before hosting Fullerton on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 3 p.m.
