KNIGHTS GET 19 HITS IN 15-0 WIN OVER DESERT
The Knights won their second straight home game, 15-0, over Desert on Saturday to win the 3-game series over the Roadrunners. Starting pitcher Chase Martinez struck out eight while only allowing two hits in 6.2 innings to earn his first win of the year.

The Knights totaled a season-high 19 hits and had four players with three hits, including third baseman Rigo Duarte, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, and shortstop Alejandro Velasco who went 3-for-5 with two RBI.
City's big offensive day got going with five consecutive hits to start the bottom of the 1st. Catcher Nick Mora singled in the first run and then Duarte doubled in another two runs to put City ahead 3-0 after one inning.
Center fielder Baker Springstun led off the bottom of the 2nd with a walk and then came around to score on a Hector Carreon triple. Two batters later, AJ Trias singled in Carreon to give the Knights a 5-0 lead.
The Knights added two runs in each the 4th, 5th, and 6th innings to build a commanding 11-0 lead and then put an exclamation point on the game with four more runs in the 8th inning. First baseman Alex Garcia hit his second home run of the season, a solo shot, to left center field in the 5th.
City improved to 2-4 in the PCAC and will host San Bernardino Valley on Tuesday, March 12 at 2 p.m.
